Minister of Mines and Petroleum Visits the Shorandam Cement Factory in Kandahar

Mr. Hedayatullah Badri, Minister of Mines and Petroleum visited the Shorandam Cement Factory during his visit to Kandahar province.
During the visit, Minister talked with the relevant officials of the factory regarding the progress of activities, and provided the necessary instructions and recommendations to ensure the efficient and timely implementation of the work.
The Shorandam Cement Factory in Kandahar Province is one of the country’s major cement factories, with an investment of (113) million USD. Upon completion of its activities, the factory is expected to commence cement production in the near future.
With the operation of this factory, employment opportunities will be created for many citizens Furthermore, it will increase domestic cement production and bring the country closer to meet its cement needs and achieve self-sufficiency.
