H.E Enayatullah Momand acting minister of Mines and Petroleum met with Mr. Sam Sediqi CEO of Silk Road Mining Company that is the contractor of the Shaida Copper project at his office.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the progression and issues related to the Shaida Copper project that the Silk Road Mining Company provided the Ministry with the assurance that the company is ready to begin the exploration works of the project.

The Shaida Copper is located in the borderline of Adraskan and Guzarah districts of Herat province that its exploration works will cost the company about $ 21.3 million over three years.
