Minister of Mines and Petroleum Meets with CEO of Delta International Company

Mr. Hedayatullah Badri, Minister of Mines and Petroleum, met with Shaher Al-Taqi, CEO of Saudi Arabia’s Delta International Company, at his office on Saturday, September 5, 2026
During the meeting, both sides discussed investment and cooperation opportunities in the exploration, evaluation, and extraction of oil and gas resources in Afghanistan.
The CEO of Delta International Company described the outcome of the discussions held with the Ministry’s technical teams regarding investment in Afghanistan’s oil and gas sector as positive. He stated that, subject to the Ministry facilitating the relevant processes and reaching an understanding and agreement with the company, Delta International Company is ready to invest in Afghanistan’s oil and gas sector in the near future.
At the end, both sides emphasized the continuation of joint cooperation and mentioned the topics.
