Muhammad Atiq Zaki: The Ministry’s New Formation Provides Broad Opportunities for Those Women Who are specialized in Mining Activities

Deputy Minister of Policies and the Extractive Programs of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, Muhammad Atiq Zaki, spoke in the meeting of unite coordination organized by the gender directorate of the Ministry. As the meeting was also attended by representatives of the Ministry of Women Affairs, World Bank as well as the heads of the gender department of the governmental Administrations.

Muhammad Atiq Zaki, Deputy Minister of Policies and the Extractive Programs of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, said the Ministry’s new formation provides broad opportunities for those women who are specialized in Mining.

Fortunately, gender department of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, have been working together with 52 gender unites for the equality and development of gender. The department of gender has tried to implement all related programs effectively and efficiently that pave the ways for the development of gender. Mr. Zaki added.

During the meeting, the director of M&E Department of the Ministry of Women Affairs, Ms. Nafisa Kohistani, thanked from the leadership of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum for focusing on gender development.

And at the end of the meeting, a Presentation was presented about the introduction of Electronic Grievance Redressal Mechanism by the Gender unite members of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum.
