Ministry of Mines and Petroleum Signs Agreements to Ensure Security of Four Major Mining Projects
The Deputy Minister for Policy and Programs of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum Mr. Abdul Rahman Qanit signed agreements aimed at ensuring the security of four major mining projects with Mr. Saeedullah Hamaas, Deputy Director of the Public Protection Security Enterprise of the Ministry of Interior Affairs.
Under the agreements, the Deputy Directorate of the Public Protection Security Enterprise of the Ministry of Interior Affairs will provide security through its security personnel for the Aynak Copper Mine, Badakhshan Lapis Lazuli Mine, Sheberghan–Mazar Gas Pipeline, and Amu Darya Project, in order to ensure that these important economic projects are implemented in a safe, and suitable environment.
The agreements are intended to further strengthen the security of national economic projects, create a secure environment for investment, and effectively support of the country's economic growth.
