Minister of Mines and Petroleum Meets with the Director of (TAPI) Project
Mr. Alhaj Hidayatullah Badri, Minister of mines and petroleum met with Mr. Khwaja Ovezev, ambassador of Turkmenistan and Mr.Mohammad Murad Amanov, director of the TAPI project, in his office on Thursday 1404/12/21.
During the meeting, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan expressed his appreciation for the opportunities and necessary facilitation provided by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and the leadership of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum for the implementation of the TAPI Project.
The Director of the TAPI Project expressed his pleasure at meeting with the leadership of the Ministry and provided comprehensive information regarding the recent progress of the project, particularly the transfer and installation of the gas pipeline within Afghanistan and the practical implementation of the project. The Minister of Mines and Petroleum welcomed the guests and commended the efforts and performance of the TAPI Project leadership. He also spoke about the importance of strengthening relations between the two countries and other related matters, adding that the implementation of the TAPI Project is not only important for the people of Afghanistan but is also vital for the three other participating countries.
Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of creating employment opportunities for local communities, sharing work plans within the specified timeframe, and enhancing the capacity of the Ministry’s engineers through training and cooperation with the project’s specialists.
At the end of the meeting, the Minister assured them full cooperation of the project with relevant regulations governing the mining and petroleum sector.
