Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum Met with the World Bank Representatives

Acting Minister of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum Enayatullah Momand, held a meeting with representatives of the World Bank on the Afghanistan Gas Development Project, funded by World Bank.

During this meeting, the Acting Minister of MoMP exchanged views and discussions on the project procurement, capacity building of technical staff and the development of Afghanistan's North Gas project from technical fields. And also, thanked the World Bank for their cooperation in Afghanistan's Industrial Extractive Development Sector.

The World Bank representatives also called for cooperation in the technical field of the new mining project, and hope for a better implementation of the project.

At the end of the meeting, both sides emphasized on joint cooperation and expressed hope that the project would be implemented well.
