As part of MJAM’s assistance with the victims of recent natural disasters, MJAM helped all 150 recent flood-affected families at Mohammad Agha District of Logar province with foodstuff worth 20 thousand US dollars. The donation included 300 bags of flour, 300 bags of rice, 150 bottle of cooking oil, 150 kilograms of tea, 1050 kilograms of sugar, and 150 kilograms of salt.
The donation ceremony was held today at the District Governor’s Office with the participation of Mohammad Agha District Governor Mohammad Hashem Akhondzada, MJAM’s Vice President Mr. Wumin, Police Chief, Director of the Aynak Copper Project of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, Hafez Abubaker Amini, and Head of the Provincial Disaster Management.
On behalf of the people and Government, District Governor Mohammad Agha Mohammad Hashem Akhondzada expressed his gratitude to MJAM for the assistance in this difficult time. While stressing the significance of such aid to disaster-affected people, he emphasized providing similar assistance in other affected areas by the recent floods. Later on, Mr. Wu Min, the Executive Vice President of MJAM, spoke on behalf of MJAM and expressed his pleasure that the Company has been able to help the victims of natural disasters in different parts of the country in the past one decade.
Afterward, on behalf of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, Hafez Abubakar Amini, the Director of the Aynak Copper Project, said MJAM had fulfilled its corporate social responsibilities and wished the Aynak Copper Project prosperous future.
