Deputy Minister for Policy and Programs Meets with the Representatives of Kazakhstan’s Eurasian Research Center

The Deputy Minister for Policy and Programs of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, Mr. Abdulrahman Qanit, met with the representatives of Kazakhstan’s Eurasian Research Center and directors of mining companies on Saturday, 30 June 2026, in the ministry’s conference hall 

The aforementioned, representatives expressed their interest in investing in Afghanistan’s mining sector, particularly in chromite, lead and zinc, copper, and other metallic mineral resources furthermore, they also pledged cooperation in scientific, technical, and financial fields.

The Deputy Minister of Mines and Petroleum shared brief information about the existing investment opportunities in the country. He further requested the representatives to introduce their technical teams in order to facilitate joint cooperation and create practical work opportunities in mineral exploration, extraction, and other related sections.
