An Online Meeting Was Conducted with the Chairman of Turkey’s MTA Company

The technical team of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum held an online meeting on Wednesday, 2026/4/22 with the President of Turkey’s MTA Company. During the meeting, they talked about the existing investment opportunities in Afghanistan’s mineral resources sector, and as well on various minerals.

The President of Turkey’s MTA Company described the relations between Afghanistan and Turkey as longstanding and expressed readiness to cooperate in the establishment of laboratories in Afghanistan, mineral surveys, and capacity-building initiatives.

At the end of the meeting, both sides emphasized on continuation of technical negotiations and greater cooperation of the relevant activities.
