Transforming Mines from war nourisher to a sustainable economic generator is our priority

The introduction ceremony of Muhammad Haroon Chakhansory acting minister and nominee for the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum was held at MoMP.
M.Haroon Chakhansory was introduced to MoMP employees by Dr. Fazal Mahmood Fazly, General Director of the Office of the President (AOP). Participants included acting Foreign Minister Muhammad Haneef Atmar, Presidential advisors, high ranking government officials, officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Mines and Petroleum and other political activists.
The ceremony was started with the recitation of holy Quran and followed by remarks from Enayatullah Momand, Technical DM of MoMP. Mr. Momand welcomed the guests and congratulated the nomination of Mr. Chakhansory as Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum.
Dr.Fazal Mahmood Fazly, General Director of the Office of the President thanked the former MoMP leadership and congratulated Mr.Chakhansory as the new acting Minister. He promised the support of his organization – as a facilitator of activities – with the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum. 
Later on, Acting Foreign Minister Muhammad Haneef Atmar hailed the nomination of Mr.Chakhansory and considered the new MoMP leadership a young force en route to the sustainable economic development of the country. 
At the end, M. Haroon Chakhansory Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum thanked the government leadership for their trust and credence in him and discussed his priorities, especially transforming MoMP from a war nourisher to a sustainable economic generator, implementation of the President’s vision regarding the mines sector as a key to welfare of the country, best use of current technical capacities within the ministry and structural reforms at MoMP.
Mr. Chakhansory hailed the services of MoMP leadership and employees during the last years and said we will spare no effort to achieve the priorities of the mine sector road-map and assurances that the use of chain values in the mine sector work processes will be accelerated.
Mr. Chakhansory promised that his ministry will formalize the small-scale mines in one year and will formalize and harness the large-scale mines in the next one to five years.
The ceremony ended with a prayer for sustainable development of the country and rescue from the deadly COVID-19.
