Minister of Mines and Petroleum, Muhammad Haroon Chakhansuri, met with governor of Logar Province, Abdul Qayoum Rahim in his office this morning. In this meeting, both sides discussed on the management of mines, solving problems of the Mis-Aynak Copper Project and performing surveys on the new areas of Logar Province..

M. Haroon Chakhansuri said, “Our goal is to ensure dynamism and transparency in the extractive industries sector.” Besides with other provinces, we have planned to perform surveys for finding new Minerals areas in Logar Province, to pave the ways for efficient management of mines and provide better employment opportunities for the residents of local areas.

During the meeting, Minister of Mines and Petroleum wanted from the governor of Logar to cooperate with the provincial unite of mines for efficient management.

Mr. Rahimi, the governor of Logar province said, “The provincial Administration of Logar Province is committed to cooperate with MoMP, in order to provide economic changes in the lives of the countrymen.”
