Ministry of Mines and Petroleum focus on providing facilities to attract Domestic and Foreign Investments
Minister of Mines and Petroleum Mohammad Haroon Chakhansuri, spoke via a video conference with Indonesia’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry Officials about the existing opportunities in Afghanistan's Extractive Industry Sector.
The meeting was attended by Faizullah Zaki, Ambassador of Afghanistan to Indonesia, Dr. Arif Rahman, Ambassador of Indonesia to Kabul and Fakhri Taayeb, Director of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
At the beginning of the meeting, Minister of Mines and Petroleum Mohammad Haroon Chakhansuri, referring to the good bilateral relationships between the countries, thanked Indonesia for their interest in Afghanistan's Extractive Industries Sector and provided comprehensive information about the existing opportunities in the sector.
For having a sustainable and reliable legal and policy framework for investment on Afghanistan' Extractive Industry, the Minister of Mines and Petroleum said, "We have been focusing on facilitating to attract domestic and foreign investments in the country's Extractive Industries Sector."
During the meeting, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Jakarta, Faizullah Zaki and Ambassador of Indonesia in Kabul Dr. Arif Rahman, spoke about the role of investment on the development of bilateral relations between the countries.
At the end of the meeting, both sides decided to set up a joint technical team to hold regular discussions on mining, oil and gas projects of Afghanistan.
