Mr. Hedayatullah Badri, Minister of Mines and Petroleum signed, contracts for the provision of monitoring and consultancy services for the Amu Darya Oil Basin, as well as for the construction of Flexible Production Facility (FPF) for the Zamrud Sai Block, with the chairman of TNG Tatarastan-based Company at his office.
 During the signing ceremony, the Minister of Mines and Petroleum said that the involvement of qualified and professional companies in the exploration, extraction, and processing of the country’s oil resources are very important for Afghanistan’s economic development.
He added, that the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum is committed to manage and develop the country’s natural resources in a professional, transparent, and efficient manner, in order to increase national revenues and create employment opportunities for the people.
Following the implementation of the contract for monitoring and consultancy services, the extraction capacity of the Amu Darya Oil Basin is expected to increase, while activities in other relevant areas will also be strengthened.
Under the terms of the contracts, approximately 2.8 million USD will be allocated for the provision of monitoring and consultancy services for the Amu Darya Oil Basin, and the duration of the contract is for one year.
Furthermore, 11 million USD will be allocated by the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum for the design, installation, and related activities for the construction of the Flexible Production Facility (FPF) for the Zamrud Sai Block.

The construction of the System is expected to take eight months. Upon completion, the system will have the capacity to process up to 2,000 metric tons of oil per day.
