Muhammad Haroon Chakhansuri: By the Distribution of Licenses for Small Scale Mining Projects and Announcement of New Projects, Movement will Create in the Sector

Kabul- Ministry of Mines and Petroleum granted 43 licenses for Small Scale-Projects of Construction Material located in Badghis, Balkh, Bamian, Maidan Wardak, Laghman, Nangrahar, Jawoz Jan, Orzgan, Kabul, Herat and Kandahar provinces.

implementation of the projects will pave the ways for 1500 people job opportunities directly and indirectly. In addition, investors of the projects have promised to invest around 3.1 billion Afghanis for the implementation of these projects, from where 45 million Afghani will collect to the treasury of the country annually.

The meeting which was held at the MoMP’s hall this afternoon, Minister of Mines and Petroleum Muhammad Haroon Chakhansuri said, “By the distribution of licenses for Small Scale Mining Projects, movement will create in Mining Sector of the Construction Material.”

And also, Mr. Chakhansuri provided information on the Ministry's programs, 85 new Small-Scale Projects and 23 Large- Mining Projects. The new projects include Semi-Precious Stones, Cement, Copper, Gold, Talc, and Building Materials, which are available in different parts of the country.

Later, Sakhi Ahmad Paiman, on behalf of the representatives of the private sector, thanked the leadership of MoMP for the commitment to mobilize the sector, and also spoke about the importance of Mining Sector and interest of investors in the sector.

At the end of the meeting, Mining Licenses distributed to the related investors of Small-Scale Projects.
