MoMP attends the 10th Turkmenistan Gas Congress (TGC 2019)

The 10th annual Turkmenistan Gas Congress (TGC) was held in Avaza, Turkmenistan. TGC is a leading platform for discussing issues that exist in the gas industry in the region. The Congress included panel discussions on gas and petroleum development, and regional economic cooperation.
Mr. Abdullah Asif, Senior Advisor to the Minister, and Mr. Abdurahman Mujahid – Senior Legal Advisor for TAPI Coordination Office, attended the Congress on behalf of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum of Afghanistan.
In addition, Mr. Asifi participated in the TAPI - The Pipeline for Peace and Stability Panel in which he provided information about the TAPI Project progress in Afghanistan, especially in the areas related to legal framework, funding, surveys, and land acquisition.
He further added that Afghanistan is committed to providing the required resources for further development of the Project. Mr. Asifi concluded his speech by hoping a better regional cooperation among the TAPI countries.
