Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum Mohammad Haroon Chakhansuri held a meeting with Mr. Sherbaz Kaminzada, Director of the Chamber of Mines and Industries and some other members of the Chamber. Both sides discussed mining law, licensing process, transportation and the prevention of illegal mining. Also heard their concerns and suggestions on the prevention of illegal mining and facilitation in the extraction process.
The participants of the meeting proposed to form a joint technical committee from the staff of MoMP and from the members of Chamber of Mines and Industry to better addressing of issues, which was welcomed by the leadership of the Ministry.
Acting Minster of Mines and Petroleum Mohammad Haroon Chakhansuri said, your concerns and suggestions show that we have common goals and to achieve those, we must work together to ensure transparency and mobility in the sector and create employment opportunities for the citizens.
Mr. Chakhansuri said that monthly meetings will be held to address the problems of investors in the mining sector, especially talc, marble, precious and semi-precious stones and coal, to solve these problems, we must design effective programs through proper ways.
