Minister of Mines and Petroleum Meets with the Ambassador of Turkmenistan

Mr. Hedayatullah Badri, Minister of Mines and Petroleum, met with  Khawaja Ovezov, Ambassador of Turkmenistan, at his office on Tuesday, 7 July 2026.

During the meeting, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan shared information about the ongoing activities and recent progress of the TAPI Gas Pipeline Project. He stated that the project is progressing well and  102 kilometres of pipeline have been laid so far. He added that the remaining work will be completed in accordance with the  timeline and all commitments about the project will be fully conducted.

The Minister of Mines and Petroleum welcomed the Ambassador and assured him, Afghanistan’s full legal cooperation to facilitate the implementation of the TAPI Gas Pipeline Project.
