Directorate General Cadastre
Directorate Responsibilities:
Directorate General Cadastre is responsible for managing small scale mining licenses. Its’ main responsibilities are to process applications, obtain approval for the applications from the relevant authorities, issue licenses and manage the mining licenses based on the minerals law and relevant regulations and procedures.
Core Function:
- Managing the small scale mining applications.
- Developing procedures, forms, templates and reporting formats for managing small scale mining license.
- Evaluating small scale mining applications and reporting to the Mining Technical Committee (MTC) and High Economic Council (HEC).
- Managing the small scale mining licenses and monitoring the implementation of terms of license, minerals law and regulations in coordination with the Inspection Directorate General.
- Facilitating the mining process and providing assistance for the license holders in coordination with the relevant government entities.
- Developing general directorate work plan according to the Mining Roadmap, Reform Strategy and Minerals law.
- Reporting to the ministry leadership about the status of planned, ongoing and future small scale projects.
Cadastre Contract Management Directorate
Directorate Responsibilities:
Cadastre Contract Management Directorate is responsible for registering mining applications, evaluating applications and reporting to the Mining Technical Committee.
Core Function:
- Publishing the potential mine sites approved by High Economic Council (HEC) and Cabinet.
- Developing forms, templates and reporting formats for the managing the small scale mining projects.
- Registering license applications.
- Evaluating license applications.
- Providing assistance and recommendations to the Mining Technical Committee (MTC) on the evaluation of applications.
- Reporting to the MTC and HEC and Obtaining the approval for the preferred applicants.
Supervision and Implementation of Cadaster Contract Directorate
Directorate Responsibilities:
Supervision and Implementation of Cadaster Contract Directorate is responsible for issuance of small scale licenses and managing the small scale mining licenses.
Core Function:
- Issuing license for the preferred applicant based on the recommendation of MTC and approval of HEC.
- Managing the small scale mining licenses and monitoring the implementation of terms of license, minerals law and regulations in coordination with the Inspection Directorate General.
- Facilitating the mining process and providing assistance for the license holders in coordination with the relevant government entities.
- Managing the extension of term of license, license transfer and license revocation processes.
- Developing directorate work plan according to the Mining Roadmap, Reform Strategy and Minerals law.
- Reporting to the ministry leadership about the status of planned, ongoing and future small scale projects.
