Signing the Salt Mine Contract of Herat Province

Mr Hedayatullah Badri, Minister of Mines and Petroleum, signed the contract for 5th block of Namaksar area in Ghorian District of Herat Province with area of 10.51 square km; involving investment of(5,342,000)$ with Rahmani Zarkhanzoi Salt Mining extraction Company on Tuesday, 11/01/1405

Talking about the mentioned mines, the Minister of Mines and Petroleum stated that the contract for this mine is concluded for a period of 15 years, with a royalty rate of 1500 Afghanis per ton conditional upon the company’s compliance with the Mining Law, regulations, and its contractual obligations.

It should be mentioned that, further to the payment of royalties, the company is obligated to implement its commitments about social services and environmental protection, and almost 110 employment opportunities should be created.
