The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum has number of development projects which are setting up, supporting and monitoring through the PSU Directorate within the Ministry of Mines & Petroleum. 

Job Description:

They analyze and assess economic research and economic arguments presented by stakeholders and contractors.

·      Provide technical and professional input to ensure the development of mine plans and reserves, which optimises the economics of mining ore bodies

·      Analyzing the Value Chain studies of various large scale mining projects. 

·      Prioritizing of large scale mining projects based on current market demand

·      Develop an action plan on Economic Advisory of all MoMP Authority activities.

·      Provide advice and support in all matters related to the economic development of the extractive industries in Afghanistan

·      Assist in the drafting and revision of technical documentation

·       Undertake assigned research relating to the economic development of the extractive sector

·       Monitor economic issues affecting the extractive sector worldwide

·       Undertake collaborative work with other advisers and Ministry colleagues on a variety of projects

·       Performing any other tasks assigned by the minister on the basis of laws, regulations and objectives of organization

Review all awarded contracts to make sure they are implemented according the law, regulations and contract contents.
The Incumbent must collect updates from all staff assigned to various projects and analyze these updates to identify potential problems that may keep projects from being completed on time and report the MoMP management.
Develop a tracking system for awarded contract progress
Develop a monitoring and evaluation system for awarded contracts.
Prepare regular progress report to the MoMP management on awarded contracts.

·         Strengthen and establish strong coordination with relevant departments and stake holders

·          Performing any other tasks assigned by H.E Minister on the basis of laws, regulations and objectives of organization.

. Monthly activity report to H.E Minister.

Job Requirements:

A Master degree, in Economics, Public Policy, Business Administration, Public administration or similar subject.

5 to 10 years relevant experience in related fields. 5 years of experience with Masters degree 10 years of experience with Bachelor degree.
