Job Summary:
The Seismic Survey Data Acquisition Specialist is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and delivering accurate 2D & 3D data to support exploration, drilling, field development and operational activities. Using advanced Acquisitions techniques, the specialist ensures that survey data meets the highest standards of accuracy and compliance in the oil and gas industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement Seismic data acquisition parameters set for contractors.
- Collect, process, and analyze spatial data to support exploration, drilling, development, and production operations.
- Prepare detailed maps, plans, and reports for engineering, operations, and project management teams.
- Ensure all survey activities comply with industry best practices and HSE regulations.
- Collaborate with Supervisors and Survey team for quality control of survey data and positioning.
- Work closely with Geophysicists and Geologists to understand project objectives and ensure the collected data meets the requirements for processing and interpretation.
- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot Acquisition equipment and related software.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest survey technologies and best practices in geospatial data management for the oil and gas sector.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geophysics, Petroleum Engineering, Geology or related field.
- 5–7 years of experience experience in surveying, spatial data collection, or geospatial analysis in oil and gas projects.
- Proficiency with Acquisition systems and related software (SLB VISTA, Geomage, GIS, CAD, 3D modeling).
- Ability to work in challenging field environments and industrial sites.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Knowledge of oil and gas industry standards, safety procedures, and HSE regulations.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in exploration and field development projects.
- Professional certification in surveying or geospatial technologies.
