Minerals Appearances of Kabul

Due to its geographical location and geological structure, Afghanistan is among few countries with vast natural resources. These reserves exist in all provinces across Afghanistan, and in order to achieve balanced development, it is a favorable source for sustainable income. And also, the extraction and exploitation of these mines will keep Afghanistan's economic and development cycle keep moving for long time, which itself will lead to the economic growth and development of Afghans.

Kabul is the capital of Afghanistan and one of the central provinces, which is rich in mineral resources. Kabul shares borders with Kapisa and Parwan in north, Laghman in the east, Nangarhar in the southeast, Logar in the south and Maidan Wardak in the west. According to the National Statistics and Information Authority, the population is estimated at 5204667.

According to the Geological Survey of Afghanistan and the information obtained by the directorate of Kabul Mines, Kabul province has various natural resources and mineral resources, of which 62 areas have been listed in the table below:
