Conference on state fragility and natural resources for resilience and development
The conference on " state fragility and natural resources for resilience and development” held on 25 June 2019 on behalf of the G7+ group with the participation of policy and programs deputy minister Mr. Waliullah Zadran, in Lisbon city of Portugal.
The conference focused on challenges, investment opportunities, governance, and the sustainability of natural resources in conflict-affected and developing countries.
In this conference, the Deputy Minister Mr. Waliullah Zadran shared the latest development, achievements and positive actions of the Afghanistan government toward the mining extraction sector with the participants.
It is mention-worthy that the G7+ is a group of 20 countries affected by fragility, conflict and/or in post-conflict, established in 2010 and the purpose of the G7+ is to achieve peace, stability, and development. As Afghanistan is one of the members of this group, it is expected that Afghanistan takes over the group's presidency due to the official meetings of the member countries' ministers and high-rank delegations between June 26 and 27.
