About the report of 8am newspaper / peek annalist research center regarding TAPI pipeline project

Ministry of mines and petroleum,
Financial and baking senior advisor of the presidency in ministry of mines and petroleum and the financial and banking advisor of the presidency’s supreme authority declared their concern about journalism standards and transparency of the published report about TAPI project that has been issued on 6 July 2019 8am newspaper and annalist research center
Followings are the errors of the mentioned report:
- In the report of 8 am newspaper and peek annalist research center; (chalk) firm has been pointed out as the main conventional firm of TAPI project; it should be mentioned that no contract has been signed between this firm and TAPI pipeline.
- In the mentioned report it has been referred to (Winko Imtiaz) as the property acquisition firm of the land for the project; it is noteworthy that ministry of urbanization and land is accountable for land acquisition process
- This report points out the lack of national and international procedure observation in TAPI project’s contracting process; although all the contracts of TAPI project have been processed according to international procedure.
The registered accusation in this report is completely wrong and based on lack of information or hidden motives. TAPI pipeline project is oriented and established by (TAPI pipeline company limited) and intermediation of Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India’s tariff incumbency firms. TAPI pipeline firm recited worlds reliable firms in financial, legal and technical sectors for consulting, controlling and facilitating the provision process.
All activities of TAPI pipeline’s firm in application of this project (including the survey conclusion contracts) are managed by policies, guidelines and inclusive codes of donor countries of this project and controlled by the board of directors of the firm.
The advisors of TAPI pipeline firms have created comprehensive reports on provision process/ voluntarism, assessment standards and contract granting standards that has been granted by TAPI pipeline firm.
In the granted contracts the conditions of provision procedure are considered according to international standards. As well as, the decision on grating the contracts are not taken by a single country; but on basis of guidelines that are confirmed by donors of this project.
The ministry of mines and petroleum and senior banking and financial advisor of the presidency’s supreme authority are concerned that publication of such wrong information about TAPI pipeline project will blemish the validity of press and the governments aims for economic development, publication of such information contradicts the neutrality, accuracy, transparency and accountability of the basic origins of journalism.
The ministry of mines and petroleum and senior banking and financial advisor of the presidency’s supreme authority requests all the news medias to restrain publishing news and information before completing their research about TAPI pipeline project.
The medias are kindly requested to approach the ministry of mines and petroleum and senior banking and financial advisor of the presidency’s supreme authority for accurate information about TAPI pipeline project.
